My sweet friend, Erin got married last night!
She and Corey had so many
unique elements to their ceremony and reception.
Erin is a very gifted graphic designer and her
invitations and programs were so cool.
Rather than a traditional unity candle, they had a tree ceremony.
Both families came up and poured water into the base of the
tree to symbolize the start of Erin and Corey's new family tree.
Their colors were yellow, grey, white and a little bit of green. For her bouquet we used white larkspur, spray orchids, hydrangeas, stock, dahlias and cream and yellow garden roses.
Erin folded tons of white paper cranes which we hung on the chairs down the aisle, behind the ceremony arbor and from branches in some of the center pieces.
The lovely bride with her maids.
Their bouquets were green bells of Ireland, white stock, dahlias, larkspur and orchids.
Lindsay Zodrow, of Collected Thread, made the flower girls polka dot dress and instead of rose petals, we disassembled a few hydrangea blossoms that she dispersed from a cute galvanized metal bucket with a white satin bow.
The Bride and Groom.
Beautiful and delicious cake from Raspberries N Cream.
We used giant, white balloons and anchored them in clean, white ceramic bowls with grey stones and then placed them on square plates collared with dahlias.
White bird cages with more balloons, a pillar candle, moss and white Fuji mums.
A collection of the center pieces. In addition to the ones shown above, we did tall cylinders with submerged bells of Ireland topped off with white stock, and large glass vases with grey stones, willow branches and suspended paper cranes.
Erin's dad made a giant "R" that was placed above the mantel and the couple had a super fun photo booth that printed a copy for guests and one for their guest book.
A HUGE "thank you" to miss Dana Fisher for helping with set up.
Dana is one of my Dustbowl partners in crime
as well as a budding entrepreneur.
Pistachio, is her fabulous line of accessories and event design.
If any of you brides-to-be out there need an event planner,
she's your girl.
Also, thanks to the wonderful Erica Smith, of A Funny Girl, that did some beautiful hair and helped me fit everything back in my little car.
Congrats to the happy couple! Have a wonderful time in Hawaii!
