Brides of Oklahoma Tablescape Shoot...

Birdie was thrilled to work with the super inspiring, Kimberlyn Hall of Blueberry Hill Events.
I had so much fun designing the flowers for this shoot.
The talented, Mr. Aaron Snow did the photography and Glorious Day Films made this AWESOME behind the scenes video of the shoot.
The shoot took place back in August, the temperature reached 100+ degrees and I was 8.5 months pregnant. It was worth it!
For a full list of vendors that worked on this project, check out the Brides of Oklahoma blog.

Congrats Jonathan and Kristen!

What a delicious treat it was to work with a couple that was interested in sourcing only local and sustainably grown flowers!
We used some super pretty wild flowers, US grown peonies, fresh herbs and lots of fun, vintage vases provided by the bride.

Miss Katie Kerr over at Stella Shot Me
just posted some wonderful pictures
from Jonathan and Kristen's wedding.

Also, go check out Jonathan's restaurant, Ludivine.
It's amazing!!!!

Morgan and Cully

I had the privilege of working on such a fun wedding in my hometown of McAlester a few weekends back.

The bride was in the first dance class I ever assisted and I taught her and about 20 other 8 year olds a dance to "Teach Me How to Shimmy".

She's all grown up and so creative, kind and gorgeous.

Head over to Tulsa based photographer, Imago Vita's website, for lovely viewing of some beautiful images of the bride and groom.

Congratulations Morgan and Cully.
Cheers to many years of joy, adventures and LOVE!!!

Heidi and Marshall

Okay folks....Miss Heidi is one of the most fun, energetic and genuine ladies I have ever met.
I was thrilled to do the personal flowers for her wedding a few weeks back.
Heidi and Marshall were married in Tulsa at Post Oak Lodge.
The talented people at Whitney English Paper designed the fun invitation suite.
Amanda Watson took the lovely photos below...

Congrats to Heidi and Marshall!!!

Jill and Stephen

What a CREATIVE and BEAUTIFUL bride!

I adored working with Jill.
She and Stephen were married in Tulsa at Camp Loughridge back in April.
Blake Studdard and Evan French of 207 Photography Cooperative took these fabulous photos.

Such a cute couple...
Stephen's suit is from H&M and Jill's gorgeous dress (with awesome pockets) from J. Crew.

Darling marigold striped attendants dresses from Anthropologie.

Large vintage masons on cross sections of reclaimed wood and candles for
the large round tables.

Jill painted burlap runners with marigold and white stripes that ran the ENTIRE length of the long rectangle tables!
We clustered stacks of vintage Reader's Digest books, candles and flowers on top of the runners.

In lieu of petals, the flower girls tossed tree leaves.
We wrapped our vintage metal arch with burlap and topped it with hydrangeas, lisianthus, willow and stock.

Such a good looking wedding party!

Single fresh gardenia blossom for the brides hair.
Adore this shot...

Congrats Jill and Stephen Pyle!

April...

Springtime, you are simply THE BEST!
I've been super MIA from the blog lately due to the fact I've been having entirely too much fun playing in my yard and working on wedding flowers!

Wedding season is in full swing at Birdie, and it doesn't look like we are slowing down anytime soon. We've even booked a few 2012 dates and I'm enjoying meeting all these brides-to-be.

When I first started out doing flowers, all my brides were close friends that I already knew. Now that most of my sweet ladies are married off, the majority of Birdie brides are new faces. It's so fun meeting with these lovely ladies. I love getting a sneak peak of her gown and hearing about her vision for the perfect day. I cherish that I get to become friends with my clients.
After all, weddings and babies are the ULTIMATE girl bonding experience.

Speaking of BABIES...Tyler and I are going to be blessed with a little one in OCTOBER!

We are in our 13th week and cross-over into our 2nd trimester this weekend.
We found out while we were in NYC for market and are so thrilled and excited.

Getting through Valentine's Day and the beginning of wedding season with a constant wave of woozy was interesting, but now I'm feeling great! Tyler has been so sweet, obliging and kind. Well, that's just his personality, so I'm pretty blessed.

Also, this will be the first grand-baby for both our parents.
My momma, Cathy and I had a girls trip to Savannah, GA a few weeks ago and there was an obscene amount of baby talk.

Since this blog is part shop talk, part house updates and part our life, this will be such a fun place to share about our "little Husky". We heard his/her (we all think it's a BOY, but we shall see) a few weeks ago and it was going so fast and strong! Have to wait a little longer to find out if we are all wrong and a sweet baby girl is in there.

Happy Spring and cheers to a lovely April!
